Greenbush – The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking applications for a part-time Speech Language Pathologist Teletherapist.

Job Summary: The primary role of the Speech-Language Pathologist - SLP is to provide services to children in preschool through high school. The SLP is responsible for the evaluation, implementation, and progress monitoring of children according to the Individual Education Plan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
A valid driver’s license is required for employment. REAL ID is required if air travel is necessary to complete job duties.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college/university
- Hold or be eligible to obtain a Kansas Speech Pathology license.
- Must have proficient technology skills commonly found in classroom environments.
- Ability to travel between sites on a daily basis.
- Must be able to change schedule and daily routines on short notice.
- Effectively communicate solutions to complex problems.
- Must be in good standing with partnering district(s) where the program is located.
Preferred:
- Experience working with students with special needs in the school setting.
- Knowledge of technology and video conferencing.
- Must hold or be eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Association.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
- Conducts interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary developmental evaluations/ assessments.
- Develop appropriate treatment goals and activities related to the specific needs of children.
- Responsible for providing direct speech and language services, to children with low/high incidence exceptionalities.
- Collaborate with other team members in gathering and sharing evaluation information for the purpose of determining service needs, IEP goals, and transition plans of children.
- Responsible for timely documentation of evaluation results, progress reports, discharge reports, daily notes, attendance reports, Medicaid prior authorizations, insurance justifications, and all required IDEA and/or Medicaid billing documentation.

- Follow all safety requirements as directed by the SEKESC.
- Regular and predictive attendance in the designated work location as determined by the Executive Director or designee.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee.
