Greenbush – The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking applications for a Media Design Specialist at Russell Child Development Center.

Job Summary: Assist the Chief Executive Officer, Program Directors, and support staff in a variety of activities and projects that support the promotion and enhancement of RCDC services in all forms of media communication. Develop and create specific program informational videos, capture photos, and help stage special events for clients, staff, community partners, and donors.
Qualifications
Required:
Job-related experience within the specialized field is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication or job-related field.
Valid driver's license for employment.
Successful completion of Defensive Driving course, provided by RCDC.
Background Clearance.
Preferred:
Minimum five-year work history of videography, photography, and multi-media experience.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
- Create individual videos of each RCDC program showcasing and explaining each specific program.
- Develop photos to be used within promotional materials, social media posts, and event promotion.
- Assist in designing and staging items, products, and resources for special events and promotional opportunities.
- Video clients, RCDC employees, community partners, and donors to be used in interview formats explaining RCDC services and promoting opportunities to support the organization.
- Photograph clients, RCDC employees, community partners, and donors to be used in media materials to showcase RCDC services and promote opportunities to support the organization.
General Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate proficiency in effectively and regularly communicating with other employees of RCDC and clients.
- Complete all assignments timely, including communication with other staff and clients or contractors.
- Adhere to all professional guidelines as outlined in agency policies.
- Independently manage daily assignments and activities ensuring performance outcomes are achieved within budget, timeline, department, and agency objectives.
- Follow all safety requirements as directed by RCDC.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer or designee.
Physical Requirements:
- 70 % sitting, 15% walking and 15% standing
- Lifting up to 30 pounds.
- Manage all job duties with mobility, agility, and dexterity.
- Sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to drive in varying weather and geographical conditions.
- The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and in a generally hazard-free environment.
