Description

Greenbush - The Southeast Kansas Education Service Center is seeking a dynamic, engaging, and energetic individual to join our team at our Lawrence office. The person in this position will interact frequently with and create an inviting atmosphere and environment for school personnel including teachers, administrators, support staff, and more. This person will perform important clerical duties for our Greenbush Administrative Services team, fulfill organizational duties and provide hospitality coordination for guests to our office and training spaces, provide outreach and support, assist with workshop registration and attendance processes, prepare department materials, schedule presenters, assist Greenbush department directors/administrators, and more.

Job Summary:

Perform clerical duties on assigned projects for Greenbush Administrative Services, fulfill organizational duties in a timely manner, provide hospitality coordination, outreach and support, assist with workshop registration and attendance processes, prepare department materials, schedule presenters, and assist Greenbush department administrators.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Vaild driver's license required for employment. REAL ID is required if air travel is necessary to complete job duties.

Excellent written, verbal, and organization skills

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to facilitate a positive environment

High school degree or equivalent

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

    Essential Functions: 

1. Support visitors to the Greenbush Lawrence Campus including the greeting and check-in of workshop attendees.

2. Partner with other Greenbush staff to manage accounts and meeting management in the Greenbush meeting and registration system.

3. Coordinate all aspects of hospitality support including such things as developing catering partnerships, coordinating all catering services, ordering of supplies, and coordinating with other Greenbush staff and presenters in the setup and cleanup of utilized meeting spaces.

4. Communicate meeting schedules and needs with Service Center Staff, School District office staff, and custodial/maintenance staff.

5. Work with other Greenbush programs to expand and enhance services for campus visitors such as signage, directions, materials, etc.

6. Develop marketing and communication materials, incorporating other programs and directors as needed.

7. Answer telephones and give information to callers, take messages, or transfer calls to appropriate individuals.

8. Serve as primary administrative support for the Administrative Services team.

9. Arrange conferences, meetings, and travel arrangements for administrative services and executive staff.

10. Provide telephone support in coordination with other identified team members.

11. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrative Services team or designees.

8. Demonstrate proficiency in ability to effectively and regularly communicate with other employees of the SEKESC and constituents.

9. Complete all assignments in a timely manner including communication with other staff and families.

10. Follow all safety requirements as directed by the SEKESC.

11. Regular and predictive attendance in designated work location as determined by the Executive Director or designee.

12. Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designee

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Lifting up to 40 pounds.

2. Manage all job duties with mobility, agility, and dexterity.

3. Sit/stand for long periods of time.

4. Work in loud/stressful environments.

5. Ability to drive in varying weather and geographical conditions.

6. Being exposed to infectious and contagious diseases.

7. Being exposed to hazardous materials. 8. Being exposed to work settings that offer a risk to personal security and that are not ADA compliant

The plan provides an opportunity for any Greenbush employee working at least 1,004 hours per year to be reimbursed up to $1320 per contract year for tuition costs.
