Greenbush - The Southeast Education Service Center is seeking applications for a Special Day Program - Behavior Interventionist in Leavenworth County Area.

 

Anticipated Start Date: 08/01/2024. Position will remain open until filled. Equal Opportunity Employer. Must have legal ability to work in the United States without sponsorship.

 

Job Summary: Evaluate, plan, and implement effective educational behavioral supports for students within the Day School Program.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  1. MSW or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Kansas special education licensure/endorsement, Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), School Psychologist, and/or Master Level Psychologist.
  2. Current Kansas licensure.
  3. Experience with students K-12 who have significant behavioral and/or mental health needs is preferred.
  4. Maintain current health and inoculation certificate on file in the central office.
  5. Valid driver's license.
  6. Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  7. Must be in good standing with partnering district(s) where program is located.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential Functions:

  1. Participate as a team member in all evaluations, reviews, and re-evaluation processes.
  2. Participate in developing and coordinating programming for students within the alternative day program and with other cooperating agencies.
  3. Assist in the development and implementation of effective individual education plans and other student goal-setting plans.
  4. Develop and implement appropriate social competencies for students.
  5. Report program progress regularly to the Program Director.
  6. Develop working relationships with administrators and teachers in participating day schools and cooperative agency personnel.
  7. Analyze and report student intervention program data and consult with teaching teams to advise on interventions based on data results.
  8. Participate in the planning of transitional programs for those served.
  9. Assist in collaborative planning with day school staff, other disciplines, and agencies.

 General Functions:

  1. Must support the Southeast Kansas Education Service Center (SEKESC) mission, goals, and objectives.
  2. Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills.
  3. Must maintain strict confidentiality.
  4. Must demonstrate proficiency in the ability to produce excellent work as requested by the executive team.
  5. Must assume responsibility for individual professional growth by staying current with literature, research, and/or practices.
  6. Must demonstrate proficiency in the ability to effectively and regularly communicate with Service Center employees and constituents.
  7. Must complete all assignments in a time-sensitive manner as determined by Supervisor.
  8. Must meet all safety requirements as directed by Greenbush.
  9. Must perform other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Director or designee.

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Ability to lift a maximum of 40 pounds.
  2. Manages all job duties with mobility, agility, and dexterity.
  3. Requires long periods of sitting and standing.
  4. Work in a noisy environment with many interruptions.

The plan provides an opportunity for any Greenbush employee working at least 1,004 hours per year to be reimbursed up to $1320 per contract year for tuition costs.
